Przemysłowy Instytut Telekomunikacji S.A. - Conferences

The MIKON Microwave Conference's has been organized by the Przemysłowy Instytut Telekomunikacji S.A. since 1988. The Conference is recorded in the world calendar of scientific events to be held under auspices of the IEEE.

The matter of the Conference covers the issues of EM waves propagation, antennas, microwave active and passive circuits, integrated hybride and monolithic circuits, millimeter wave technology, EM field theory, microwave measurement and application of the microwave technology in industries, agriculture and medicine.

The radar subject encompasses the military radars, polarimetric and civilian radars, synthetic aperture radars (SAR and ISAR) and radar signal processing, moreover the equipment and systems of ESM, EECM and ELINT reconaissance.

The next 16th MIKON-2006 Conference took place on 22-24 May, 2006, in Cracow and was part of the international Microwave & Radar Week II in Poland.

In framework of the Week, the 7th IRS-2006 International Radar Symposium was organized together with the MIKON-2006. Germany-originating domestic annual symposium has expanded to make a permanent component of the Microwave & Radar Week in Poland in the even years, and in the odd years in Germany. Additionally two workshops will be held.

The Conference is organized under patronage of the IEEE, MTT, Antenna & Propagation Society, Polish joint AP/AES/MTT chapter IEEE, European Microwave Association, GaAs Society and Polish Academy of Sciences.

Apart the international conferences Przemysłowy Instytut Telekomunikacji S.A. is involved in co-organization of two annual domestic conferences aimed at presentation the needs and requirements of domestic Armed Forces and at pointing out the principal development directions .

Conference on the Automation of Command

The conference covers the issues of integration of the automated command & combat means control systems, computer-supported command systems, modelling and simulation for miliary training and exchange of information. Another group of topics is information security in the command systems and the information warfare, as well as the standardization and unification of the C2. Moreover the issues of design and test of the C2 systems and evelopment of the software.

Radiolocation Conference

The subject of the conference is radar technology and recently the issues of electronic reconaissance and identification.

The conferences enjoy the interest and participation of the high level command representatives of three services of Armed Forces, institutes, universities and civilian and miliary R&D institutions, as well as representatives of ministeries active in national defense are.
