Przemysłowy Instytut Telekomunikacji S.A. - Certificates

The Quality Assurance System was implemented to the Przemysłowy Instytut Telekomunikacji S.A. in the 1999 and recently, as a result of regular audit activities, Przemysłowy Instytut Telekomunikacji S.A. is certified according to the up-dated PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 and AQAP 2110:2003.standards.

The system encompasses the research and development, design, production, installation and service of radar systems, radar antennas, radar reconnaissance and identification systems, command control communications and intelligence systems and microwave devices.

The relevant certificates has been issued by the Military Centre of Standardization, Quality and Codification, which is certifying unit of the Polish Ministry of National Defence.

The continuously updated Quality Management System allows Przemysłowy Instytut Telekomunikacji S.A. to commit accepting orders for equipment from the demanding customers as the home MOD, NATO and foreign customers.
The products being supplied under these contracts are subject of military acceptance procedures and – for the NATO – of the GQA.

The System is based on performing and meeting the requirements as included in the Quality Manual and in set of 35 procedures and 11 instructions to cover all requirements of the standards. Due to implementation of the system, the basic ISO requirements are met, for example, the product quality planning, risk evaluation and risk management, product configuration management, product dependability and maintenability, evaluation of suppliers

In framework of the Quality Management System the specific processes are monitored and evaluated , and the system is being upgraded permanently.

Apart from the ISO Quality Assurance system, the products of Przemysłowy Instytut Telekomunikacji S.A. are certified for their performance by military accredited laboratories. Currently eight major Przemysłowy Instytut Telekomunikacji S.A. products have this kind of certification.

In regard to the necessity to observe the home and international rules for the strategic wares, technologies and services trade, the internal control system (WSK) has been established and certified.

Owing to the existing system supported with the appropriate certification, in the 2003 the Przemysłowy Instytut Telekomunikacji S.A. has been granted a license to run the business of explosive, arms and military/police goods and technologies manufacturing and trade, the military radar equipment is counted to the this large category.
